First, the 12oz Wide Mouth Kids Bottles are stainless steel. This makes them virtually indestructible, even if your kid did manage to dent them, it would only add some "cred", like a scar. Plus, they keep cold things cold and hot things hot. The tops are leak-proof and have a cool loop so you can attach them to a bag or backpack.
